Syntagma Square

Syntagma Square sits at the ceremonial and civic centre of Athens, flanked by the Greek Parliament building, which occupies the former Royal Palace completed in 1843. The square takes its name from the constitution that King Otto was compelled to grant that same year, making it a site of enduring political significance.
