Chochołowska Baths

The Chochołowska Baths sit in the Chochołów valley at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, roughly an hour's drive south of Kraków near the village of Chochołów, which is itself celebrated for its rows of traditional wooden highland cottages. The complex draws on the natural thermal springs of the Podhale region, channelling geothermally warmed water into a series of outdoor and indoor pools set against a backdrop of forested mountain slopes. The site reflects the broader Polish góralski, or highland, tradition, and its architecture takes clear cues from the timber-building craftsmanship that defines the surrounding villages.

Visitors can choose between a Saunarium entry, which focuses on the sauna and steam facilities, or a full-day all-access ticket that opens up the complete range of thermal pools and wellness spaces. The surrounding landscape shifts with the seasons, from snow-covered peaks in winter to green alpine meadows in summer, making the baths a destination that rewards a visit at any point in the year.
